    Sharp mxc402b

I had a problem with this machine 2 months ago. Got a call there was no cyan printing. When I got there The cyan developer was missing, unit was empty. Replaced the unit and the developer, calabrated and that lasted 2 months. now I get faint cyan print if any. checked the developer, still have developer in the unit, but no cyan print, or very very faint. ANY IDEAS? Thank you

Developer dumping is usually a symptom of charge arcing. On the medium to small Sharps it's good policy to change scorotron, grid, drum and developer, when you see developer has dumped. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I swapped drums in side the machine the light cyan problem stayed the way it was, I think the dv unit isn't turning(motor or clutch) or power or ground to the dv unit is faulty.

If the cyan developer is depleted again, it won't help to swap drums.

You do what you think is right. =^..^=

ok, The developer unit is not depleted, it was 2 months ago, at that time I replaced the unit with new developer and calibrated and boom it made a great copy. Wind ahead 2 months I go out there a couple of days ago and no blue I do a single color copy in cyan and it is the palest it could be and be some cyan on the paper. I swapped the drums and the copy looked the same. Got to be some failure in the DV unit ????? now that I'm saying it out loud I think it could be some transfer failure in the ITB???? Well anyway I was hoping someone had a similar problem and Could me some for instance I could look at next. THANKS

So the cyan developer could not possibly dump twice in two months? It might be a good idea to look before going any further. =^..^=

The developer did not dump a second time , it all looks good. It just doesn't print good for some reason. way too light on the copy

Is there a image on the drum? It could be the transfer roller for cyan in the primary transfer belt got knocked out of place. But like Black Cat said when we get a DV dump on any sharp we change the drum, corona kit if applicable, and developer. On that machine you can only get the drum as a unit. That's where I would start!

Yes, to check DV drive, run sim 25-1 with the toners removed - the values should vary slightly.
To check the primary transfer, run sim 6 (not sure of sub) - should sequence through 'free', 'black', and 'color'. Cheat the front door, you should see the cam rotate.
I agree with the above post that the cyan belt charge roller is loose or the grounding spring is not positioned correctly.
