    AR-FN8 finisher with CB3 code

    The bins will go all the way down but will not come back up. Replaced lower position sensor and that didn't help. When it gets to the bottom it goes straight into code, instead of coming back up to the home position. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

    You're going to laugh.

    We've had some limited success with cutting overtight tie wraps, especially the ones inside the trays. Then once the machine is in its final location and the power is not going to be disconnected soon, run the tray height adjustment.

    I can count on one hand the number of times the "clip the wire ties" fix has actually fixed something. Twice on this particular finisher.

    I'm not laughing I've seen some strange fixes through the years. I will give that a try before I go replacing boards or motors thats for sure. Do you have the height adjustment procedure that you could send me a copy of?

    Tray height adjustment

    I believe this has what you need:

    "Clock pulses to tray lift motors are incorrectly counted because of over-tight wire ties in the wire harnass. Tray height adjustment (dip SW 1 & 4 ON, press SW1)"

    The adjustment seems to be lost when power is disconnected, even briefly. It may take a few tries for the adjustment to take. Good luck.

    If this is a toshiba rebadge then make sure th trays are completely level. I had one that was off by 2 teeth and did the same thing. Went all the way down and coded. It was not hitting the sensor (front end was lower and stopping before the sensor got tripped.
    And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
