Hi if not sd try to unplug the hard drive.
Here is the latest update,
I went out on site today with a new SD card as well as a whole spare copier. The SD card did not resolve the issue . Same symptoms persist.
I also unplugged the HDD, no difference
I cannot do the emergency firmware upgrade as the LCD does not boot up when using the DIP SW switch.
I've swapped machines and brought the dead one back to my office. I'm going to try replacing the following
- SD Card
- Compact Flash
- MAIN MFP Board
I did discover today that the main router and modem were also both dead, knocked out from the storm, so I'm thinking this may have come through the ethernet line. I have it on an ESP surge protector for AC power protection only (the copier has no fax module).
I'll let you all know how it goes.
The CF card will also cause much of the same issues. We have had 2-3 CF cards go out. Once they do, they are dead from what I can tell. I've put them in my PC and they just lock up the PC. With the SC cards, I can re-write the firmware to the card and get them to work again. I have built a folder of images for different models so I can re-write a card as needed. I use HDD Raw Copy to do it.
Hello Everyone, Sorry it took so long to update with results. Unfortunately they were not good. A NEW SD Card/ CF Card and main mfp board did not resolve the problem. We ended up permanently replacing the machine. It was not worth spending any more money/ time on. I'm sad I was not able to bring you all an exact solution. Thanks so much for your posts!
