MX-M363N 250k on unit, has fax as well. Getting very intermittent H5-01 codes, but the jams are not a picker finger issue. The copier will run fine for 100 or even couple hundred pages then begins to jam half way in and out of the fuser, just stops, not a picker finger jam, not getting snagged. I have a good amount of this series on the field from 283s to 503s and this is a new issue I haven't seen. I am thinking PF clutch but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this on these series machines, I'll be back there on monday to try the clutch. I have had to replace the PF clutches on this series due to wandering registration issues but not a jamming issue, any thoughts? Thank you!

What is the jam code? Does it happen from all paper sources? Could it be as simple as static in the paper? It certainly could be a PF clutch, but try to narrow the symptoms down.

How many pages on the unit? Also there is a bulletin for bad sensors in the machine. These will cause jamming.

250K on the machine. Went back today and found the problem to be the web (aftermarket) excessive oil causing the paper to slip and stop halfway in to the fuser. First time i've seen this on this model, but have seen it years ago on some other makes with excessive silicon oil on the rollers

I will look up the bulletins for jams with these but the web was the cause (the web was only 10% used and seemed to be bleeding to much oil) . It was jamming every time this morning, half way through the fuser. Simply cleaning off the excessive oil on the UFR and didn't jam once after. I replaced the web, cleaned the fuser.

We had this exact same issue using aftermarket webs on the Canon analogs. The web were so oily that the whole fuser became a slimy mess. The delivery and inverter also got slimed. You would think that any excess fuser oil would just evaporate off, and that would be the end of it. Apparently not. =^..^=
