    MX-565n Wrinkling

Working on this Sharp MX-565n and it started to wrinkle the copies/prints has 780,000 on it so I replaced the pressure roller but it still is doing it, customer says it happens on single sided also but I have only had it happen to me with double sided. I cant figured this one out yet and the paper is not wrinkled before the fuser so something is going on there I am pretty sure anyway unless I am missing something. Any Ideas? Thanks

There was a bulletin for the predecessor series regarding adjusting the fuser speed to prevent wrinkling in 11x17 size. Perhaps the issue is similar here?

so you say the machine isn't wrinkling BEFORE the fuser.. if you pull the paper and open the wrinkle.. there is no toner in it? is there toner build up on the fuser entrance plate? a fin bent or missing on the inlet?

I would agree with the toner build up on the fuser entrance plate, I have had several machines do this.

It was a toner build up issue thanks not sure why I didn't check that the other day. Wasn't a whole lot but enough for the paper to catch on.

so there was toner inside the wrinkle? that one way to tell it is a fuser issue.. if no toner in wrinkle then it's before the drum area

That was hilarious! I just want you to know that someone, somewhere out there in an Indie Dealership. Someone printed this comment and put it in a plaque for the occasional giggle.
