Unable to choose between black and white and color with a ppd driver from a MAC c312

I have a client who uses a Mac to print to the MX-C312. The problem is they are unable to choose between mono and color in the ppd driver, I looked and could not find a place to choose as you would in a PCL driver. Has anybody had this issue and what do you do to resolve it? Thank you in advance.

The options are limited on mac when accessing System settings > printer settings. You'll need to open an application to adjust the settings.

    Open Safari. File > Print.
The drop down box that says safari, click and select printer features. feature set, select color.
There you have option to select color mode. After making changes, save the preset (second dropdown list). Select save current settings as preset. Input preset name, click OK.
