Mxm 753 strange copy on duplex

Ok copies are fine as are prints and internal test prints but when duplexing through doc feeder one side is fine the other is as in the example pic. Its very faint and covered in little dotty lines if you zoom in. Ive checked and cleaned the feeder ccd and lamp unit and both seem fine visually. But to me its one of three things lamp unit, ccd or scn pwb any one have any other ideas?

Never had this problem on a 753, but did have the problem you posted pic of on a 503 and it was the Document feeders internal scan unit.
When I started servicing copiers they used toaster ovens for fusers.....I'm old

Thanks for that at least its a place to start. So you are thinking along the lines of the doc feed lamp unit or led as it is in the 753.

My experience with the issue was on a MX-M503, Doc feeder duplex side poor copy as you posted. Yes, I replaced the doc feeder scan unit and it solved the issue.
so if you have another doc feeder for this model try replacing the entire doc feeder to see before replacing the doc feed scan unit. good luck

Could always take it out and clean it first to
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

And as a first step, pull DIMMs, clean contacts, and replace; it's been awhile, but I believe there is a sim that clears SCN data.

Check SIM 63-1, gain values. OC and DSPF values should be 30-50. If they are failing they usually hover around 5-15. My machine in the shop has OC @ 42 and DSPF @ 33.

Try to duplex a blank sheet and see if lines appear.....

Remember this machine has a extra ccd unit in the document feeder and that unit may be dirty.

Problem solved it turned out to be the DSPF PWB under the rear cover of the feeder, it kind of acts as a link between the feeder CCD and the SCN PWB. Replaced it and set up the shading and all is well again, thanks guys!!
