Sharp Mx-m264n blank streaks across scans and prints.

    noreply@gmail.com_20171017_161707.pdf

I have seen this before but cannot for the life of me remember what was decided last time. And the streaks are not typically in the same spot. Before I started replacing/cleaning things it had either toner or developer streaks vertically where now there are blank streaks. I have cleaned the lsu glass, replaced the dv seal, replaced the cleaning roller (squeaking due to dusty environment), drum, charging grid, drum frame all look fine. I have ordered a new developer cartridge because I believe it is making noise/not doing it's job 100% (but it's back ordered unfortunately). I can't think of anything else to try/test. Is there a good way to test the lsu or is that a bad idea/direction?

Are the voids in the direction of paper travel? If so, most likely MC/grid contamination.

That looks like the developer housing or Fuser fingers.

Yes they're in the direction of the paper path. On these black and white models I haven't figured out a "good" way to clean the MC without first removing the drum. Am I just missing something, other than a cleaning rod of some sort?

Edit: I have the developer assembly ordered but I'm not going to count on that as the solution just yet.

Tough to say with out a sample picture but look for Developer contamination at the doctor blade
When I started servicing copiers they used toaster ovens for fusers.....I'm old

The original post had an example .pdf - the voids were not 'sharp', but fuzzy as if lint might be arching to the drum, or something blocking DV (contamination traveling along doc blade).

That is what I'm still leaning towards since it's not typically in the same spot. Could there be interference with the developer cartridge connection? Cause I'm going to feel slightly foolish replacing the whole cartridge if it's just got a dirty connection. Then again, when I did the maintenance on it a few months ago there was actual dirt/dust contamination inside the cartridge. I dismissed that yesterday when I was working on it because when I replaced the developer last time I cleaned the cartridge. Further proof these machines no matter the model don't like contamination.

Why would any of the print engine parts affect scans?

Brainworms plus distraction equals bad verbage. Not scans but printouts whether copy or direct simulation prints.

Outside shot, but make sure you look at the transfer roller also?
