I have a customer that enabled user control but didn't set herself up as admin. Now I am unable to login as administrator or turn off user control. How do I recover admin without doing a factory reset?

Its a MX-2640 and I have been on the service web page and it will not allow me to access anything admin either.
Flip a dip switch on the MFP board and use sim 24-30 or 31, whichever it is to reset admin password to default and then go nuts on the rest of it.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?
Search the sharp forum as it has been on here before.
No security kit, I searched the Sharp trouble shooting site with key words with no relevant posts. I find no reference to dipswitches anywhere in my technical documentation, and have never had this issue before this incident.
on a 2640 you need to go to the main board, in the top left corner there are two sets of DIP switches, set the bottom switch over left or right I dont remember, then reboot the machine. Then I think you can access test command 24-30 to reset to default. Then go back and set the dip switch back. Sorry its been a long time since I have had to do this and can no find the procedure in the manual right now.
You need to look very closely on the MFP PWB for a small black box that has 2 dip switches in it. Once you find it, and with the copier off move the left dip switch up, and turn on the copier. once the copier comes up it will take you to sim 24. Then you just need to perform 24-30. then follow the information on the screen. ON a side NOTE: The dip switch on the left will take you to screen calibration if you screen gets out of calibration, and you are unable to get into simulations. On a second side NOTE: the MX-3050 and all the way to the MX-6070, and any new model with that type of screen, you will no longer be able to reset the admin password via the dip switch. You will have to call Sharp with a KEY RESET ISSUE CODE that you get from the copier.
