    Angry Sharp mx-m264

    Sharp mxm264 has ( remove paper from center tray) on display never scene this before,no paper there,no finisher,no Jams in dilivery unit, or fuser. replaced paper sensor above laser unit in dilivery tray(center belly of machine) replaced paper sensor in dilivery unit.This thing won’t go away. Anyone see this before? Thanks for any input ,Dave

    Check connectors for the delivery unit, or swap it with another delivery unit. Trouble more than likely lies in that unit.

    Last one of these I had was the plastic tab attached to the exit sensor kept falling off. But it looks like you already checked that route.

    Did you do sim 30-1 before just ordering sensors. That may lead you to the sensor. It can also help you look beyand the sensor, and to a board issue. Just seems like more troubelshooting is needed.

    Replaced dilivery unit no go Can anyone even manually fill this center tray anyway.held that center tray arm down and it does nothing on different 264.

    What about checking/changing the wiring to that sensor.

    You would have to hold that one in the up position to simulate something sticking out of the exit tray.

    This is the tray sensor that sits in the belly (center)of the machine where the paper lays AFTER exit .It lays in the up position and once a paper comes out it lays on top pushing the sensor down.There is no true exit sensor right after the final exit rollers on arm257, mxm 264.

    Thanks a lot for this you are spot on.This is the strangest paper switch and lcd message I’ve seen in a long time.
