Sharp mx-m264

Thanks a lot for this you are spot on.This is the strangest paper switch and lcd message I’ve seen in a long time.

Does anyone have latest firmware update file for this Sharp mxm 264n? Thanks Dave

Sharp mxm264 has ( remove paper from center tray) on display never scene this before,no paper there,no finisher,no Jams in dilivery unit, or fuser. replaced paper sensor above laser unit in dilivery tray(center belly of machine) replaced paper sensor in dilivery unit.This thing won’t go away. Anyone see this before? Thanks for any input ,Dave

Go to SIM 30-1. TFD1, 2 or 3 should show you which sensor is detecting paper full state.

In sim 30-1 switch 1 should not be highlighted mine is on.in a working machine in that sim if you put 1 piece of paper over switch it gets highlighted.take out 1 piece of paper highlight goes out.What is so confusing is that when you make copy from working machine it never says remove paper from center tray.If you make over 500 copies which nobody ever does machine clicks tells you to remove paper from center tray not the sensor.this center tray switch 3 wires goes back to pcu pwb .Have board ordered.just when you think you’ve seen everything.......what a headache.

This is the sensor I'm talking about, those stupid gray plastic parts fall off and then you get the "center tray" crap. My opinion it should be called something different *shrugs*

Make sure dilivery sensor (the sensor all the paper that has exited the machine sensor which sits in belly with all exited paper on top of it is working and is the correct one. Found out the hard way that the mxm 260 sensor was put on this after sorter was taken off 264.hope it helps Dave

Check sim 26-1 to see if some one has turned on the job seperator option this will give you that message if it is on and no seperator tray is installed.
