    mx-3070 family e7-80

This new line of mfp's has replaced the sdcard from the older models with a msata card but these seem to be just as unreliable as the sdcards. E7-80 errors, which the manual recommends fixing by replacing the scn-mfp board, can usually be fixed by just replacing the msata card.

It seems that problems that were caused by bad sdcards will now be caused by bad msata cards.

Save yourself a bundle.....download HDD Raw Copy Tool and a USB to IDE/SATA Adapter and copy data from SATA card from new or working machine. Then when you have a bad one just re write the image......it's not the SD card or SATA card that's bad its the software written to them.

Does the msata card fit in a sata connector?

As suggested in an earlier post, update the firmware. One version was specific for curing E7-80 and E7-90 errors....
