MX-M354N DF jams
I am working on an MX-M354N and when a document is fed through the DF it stops just as the lead edge hits the slit glass and shows a message on the display asking if you want to continue. It does this with every sheet fed, and stops at the same spot every time.
I cleaned all the rollers and blew out the sensors I could get to with the canned air.
I am not a Sharp tech and I don't have access to any Sharp bulletins as we have had these machines pushed on us because of the KonMin buyout of Pitney Bowes in Canada.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: MX-M354N DF jams
Usually to get to the sensors in that turn area you need to remove the feed unit from the doc feed shell. Also make sure the paper isnt catching on the slit glass assy causing it to stop there. Otherwise we would need a jam code to try for something more solid.

Re: MX-M354N DF jams
Go into SIM mode "#*C*"
2-1 will check the operation mechanically, a doc feed free run, no jam detect
2-2 will check the individual sensors
Sounds to me like the actuator out of position......SPPD4 a likely candidate ....actuator gets pulled out of position when customer removes misfeed in reverse direction.

Re: MX-M354N DF jams
This is one of the feeders that had the sensor problem. If you run a 22-6 you will probably have a SPPD2_N or SPPD3_N jam code. That would tell you witch sensor is the problem. The part # is VHPGP1A73A+-18.

Re: MX-M354N DF jams
Sorry for the late update. I replaced the paper path sensors and everything is working as it should.
Thanks for the help.
