    Assuming these are copies, do self prints come out alright? If so, I would check the image memory, clear it and see if anything changes. Might start with sim 22-6, check the errors reported for anything important. If nothing then it might be your scanner optics, lighting, mirrors etc.

    Are these Prints or Copies?

    For prints: I had strange outputs in a 3640. Looked very similar. I asked Sharp, and they told me to clean the memory sticks copper contacts with an eraser from the back end of a pencil. Also, I would make sure to see if the motherboard is seated correctly as well.

    Copies: I also remember... from a forum post similar to this, and I could not for the life of me find it... But I think someone changed the CCD unit and had luck with that.
