    MX-753 Check Paper size.

Ok we have been getting this message occasionally for last few months.

    Check Paper Size tray 3.

We have replaced the paper tray the paper pickup assembly and the Black plastic switch block behind the tray.

    none had any effect.

    Any help is appreciated.

    hey there ,

    the tray 3 is a multi-purpose tray,
there is the sim 40-12 to calibrate the detection sensors .
execute the sim and perform what screened in display . (set to max, set to a4, set to etc.)

    Happens often enough.

I remember a a few weeks ago one of our clients complain about paper size error messages when printing. We asked over the phone to make sure the guides were fine, they said it was. I went over there (only 12 miles, not bad) and lo and behold. Set to A4. Fixed the guides, trained end user, closed ticket.

    One week later.

Get a call from the same client, saying the tech never fixed the problem and it's happening again. They just reloaded a fresh stock of paper, and it's giving paper size errors when printing. I insisted to check the guides, but she said "Their FINE!". Ok then, one more trip. Well, they were the paper guides. Well guess what I did? I screwed the guides into the tray, on ALL of them. Didn't bother training them either. Closed the ticket, haven't heard from them since.
