sharp mx3110n. color registration off

Customer let waste container fill over. cleaned due to everything locked up. But cant get the color to line up together. Tried registration adjustment and machine says no go. gear on transfer unit good. And cleaned all of it and drum units. any ideas please let me know. Thanks

What do you mean by "machine says no go"? when you do 50-22, what is the result?

machine say failure. I tried it 4 times and each time registration failure

there are no codes on machine. if you copy a driver id the colors are off. even if you print a color image the colors are off. tried to do registration adjustment. it trys but after says
failure.

You may want to set 50-22 to defaults, then try the auto reg/drum phase again.
The color calibration may have to be started from scratch.

Hey there ,

go into sim 50-20 and look , if it on of the first entries are set to 1 , you have a problem with toner in the DV-boxes .
level of toner is to low . solve these problem .
if you have the problem fixed , set the entries what is 1 to 100 and perform the sim 50-22 again .

when you do 50-22 are you seeing these screens above?

the actual color registration......is the defect consistent? meaning for example, does the cyan and magenta always "mis-register" by the same distance?

I would definitely swap out the transfer unit if you have a used one. At least you'll know it's good.

thanks for all your help. just went back out there. tried color adjustment. no good. I did notice it was just the magenta off. I know this is strange swap magenta and cyan drums and now everything is great. any thought to why that worked?. thanks
