    Mx-3140 ghost jamming

I have cleared the machine and checked all sensors and flags to make sure everything was good. Unit has a finisher and from what I could read it was having a problem with pod3's sensor but that has been fixed. Now it is hung up on ppd1_nt2. If replacing sensors won't fix it, should I go after the pwb?

That jam code "ppd1_nt2" does not come up on a search of the service manual? Did you have a typo on the sensor?

Does tthis have the FN10 external finisher or a internal finisher.
I have had this code from the RB10 inner pass unit before. PDPPD1_N.
Machine would go into an instant jam when firing up copier. Replaced both sensors in the pass thru unit and seemed to take care of it.
See page 293 in 3140SM. Good luck. Sensors are in RB10 parts manual. #0CWE314000868.

I think that jam code is trying to tell you that PPD1 is not being reached when feeding out of tray 2. I would check all your PF stations to see if problem is isolated from that tray.

In amongst my replacing sensors and whatnot from another machine I managed while putting the paper path back together to disconnect the sensor I had just replaced. That mistake cost me a week of customer use and $140. Moral of the story, devil really is in the details. Case closed.
