    Fuser release pressure bearing holder

I've had the fuser pressure bearing holders break on a Sharp MX-M565N. Parts guide> Section 41>Part #6.

Because it's broken, I'm not sure which tier of tension for pressure should the spring be loaded to on the new part. Looked in SM, can't find the information I need.

Do you know the default pressure setting?

I don't find mention of it in manual.

I would start at lowest setting and try. If fusing does not happen properly ......bump her up a notch

At the moment we have it at the highest setting. Not sure if that is the default, and the more important question is - will it wear out the pressure roller faster at the highest tension? This is why I want to know the default tension setting.

What media type is your enduser using primarily? Naturally, the lightest spring pressure that still fuses will make your fuser rollers last the longest.

    Plain paper 60.2-110 gsm: lightest
    110-218 gsm: medium
    Heavy 218-270.9 gsm: heaviest

I think I'd test the customer's media on the lightest setting. If all the media passes the scratch test you're done. If not try the next heavier pressure setting. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thank you for your response. This machine didn't come from a customer, but from a machine that is being refurbished in the shop, nevertheless, we are going to put in the lowest tension settings and test. Will respond in a few days with results in case another tech comes across this issue too.

Nevertheless, if someone does know the correct default tension, please post. Thank you.
