MX-3110n wont turn off

We have a 3110 that will not turn off using the soft power button on the display panel.
If you turn it off with main switch inside front door then turn switch back on you can then turn it on with soft power button.
and you can turn it off one time. After that the soft power button will not turn unit off.
We have changed the display as a unit but the issue remains.
As always any input is appreciated .

Have you tried updating the firmware? Or changing out the SD card or possibly the program ROM. Can't remember the model we had this problem with but in the end it wound up being the program ROM, after trying everything else! LOL

After replacing numerous boards SD Cards and updating firmware all to no avail, we found a connector from the document feeder was only partially connected. After pushing it all the way in the machine would turn off properly.
