    MX-C402SC skewed image

We have a law office that is having an issue with skewed images through the document processor, prints & internal docs are coming out without issue, as are copies from the platen glass. We've been battling this issue & have escalated it up our Sharp DSS, still awaiting a response that will fix the issue. Here's the issue:

    V2696 Test Chart.pdf

We started by reseating all internals, performing 50-28 many times, per Sharp tech support performed sim 64-2, swapped LSU, cleaned then replaced feed rollers in DP, per our DSS swapped the whole document processor with a new one, replaced SCN PWB, & updated firmware. We have since found this same issue on a few other SC models on customer sites. Anyone see these issues?

If internal prints and off the glass are good the issue lies in the document feeder.

Replace the Whole Scanner unit assembly. This is a common problem on the Frontier series. Had like 5--8 go bad...

Can you provide serial number so I can check what the production date of machine was. If the serial number was before the modification production date

    Re: MX-C402SC skewed image

what happens when you try a two sided document?

Don't forget this doc feed is a little backwards from what we Sharp guys are used to. Meaning Side 1 is scanned with the CCD within Doc feeder itself, side 2 is scanned via slit glass on machine itself.

So if you scan a two sided document and both side one and two are skewed you are looking at the a problem with the original itself skewing as it travels through the doc feed. If side two is fine and side one is skewed you are looking at adjusting the scan unit with the doc feed itself.

Side 2 looks good, only skewing is on side 1. We attempted to adjust scan unit in the document feeder using sim 50-28. We also reset 50-6, 50-7, 50-10 & 50-12 to Sharp defaults. These appear to help with horizontal & vertical placement but not with a skew. At the request of our DSS, we swapped the whole DSPF with a new. This did not help. Afterwards, he send us a SCN PWB to swap, which also didn't resolve the issue.
