    Cool Tray 2 Lift Motor

We have a Sharp AR-M257 that continually lifts and drops Tray 2 over and over. Isn't there a way to fix this without replacing the lift motor like stretching the springs in the tray or bending the little metal tabs in the tray. I swear there is a trick to fixing this with replacing a part. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I don't remember the p/n, but the tray lift assembly has a gear that looses a tooth or two, and causes these symptoms.
