    MX-C312 HDD replacement question

I have an HDD failure on an MX-C312. It has the smaller HDD in it (i believe 2.5 inch 160/ 320GB). We have the lager 3.5 inch 80 gig HDD in stock that fit the MX-C311-401 series in stock. Minus the bracket changes for the size differences, can I use the lager style HDD (3.5") in place of the smaller (2.5") HDD?

Instead of guessing... I just ordered a 2.5 320 gig HDD. I'm thinking the only issue may arise is GB size, but not sure, because the 312 is basically a revamped 311.

MOST manufactures format the drives to a certain size anyways ( larger drives lose some capacity ) you just need to make sure you are: using the correct format for that brand/model and be sure to load any data files on the drive after format..... follow your manual for HDD replacement.

I have used the 2.5 in place of the 3.5, but not the other way around. But my assumption is that it would work, if you could overcome the mounting issue.
