    Exclamation Sharp MX M363N firmware - need help please

    Can someone send me the latest firmware for the Sharp MX M363N. Scan to email has been lost and this is all I can think of. It functioned for years and no changes were made that we know of?

    IT has already setup another email server that functions fine from Canon and Konica mfp equipment on their network. I would like to resolve this as the IT professional can not resolve it at this point.

    You might also want to specify whether or not your machine has the Data Security Kit installed. That's different firmware than what's on the base machine, and it'll save you some time at the customer's location by NOT bringing the wrong firmware when you arrive!!

    I am not sure if this has the data security kit installed as I am not their currently and we did not provide this machine. My email is altcopy@comcast.net

    BTW when sending the message on the status says OK, as if it was sent to the email successfully.

    Then it sounds like its an authentication issue to me. Is it office 365?

    Yes it is a problem with scan to email using Office 365. Scan to folder is ok.

    I'll second the idea that it's probably not the firmware.
    Office365 will allow you to connect but not allow attachments to go through if your email setup is incomplete. For example, you can get it to pass the connection test, and you can send the meter information. But you cannot get scanned documents to go through.

    Someone posted the bulletin the other day on here that outlined all the required entries. Sorry I can't find it right now.

    Make sure the reply to: email address, admin email address etc. are all (populated) the same as the authentication email address.

    Wish I could be more help, I just don't have the time right now to dig it up. I just wanted to encourage you to work on the email setup information vs the firmware.

    P.S. make sure ssl is enabled
