    Sharp ARC270 calibration

I am getting very pale copies and having problems running the calibration.
I have tried loading 11x17 in all three cassettes but when I press execute the machine runs for a few seconds then it says load 11x17. I can run 11x17 copies and prints but the calibration and service mode 46-24 will not run. What should I check.

    Thanks

    Dean

Try the end user calibration. If that doesn't work check out this tech tip on SharpNet. ARC270-12913
    Hope that helps !

Have tried cleaning the printhead LED's? I ran into this today doing a calibration on a AR-BC260. If you re read the message, does it say "calibrated failed, patch cannot be printed, Use 11"x 17" paper" ? If it does, your printheads are dirty. Also clean the optics real good as well.

Art, the C270 uses laser units unlike the C260. The C260 was based off the Oki C9200 series which are LED printers.
    Hope that helps !

Calibrating this machine is not for someone faint-of-heart. It requires special color patches, and test patterns. I'll attach the procedure.

Keep in mind that you need to do all the steps, in the order designated in the bulletin, or it will come out worse than when you started.

Ok, so my bulletin file is corrupt. The one you're looking for is:
    AR-C150-005R

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
