Question Sharp ARM 450n L9-10 error message

Hey. Anyone know what this error message is. I'm Konica Minolta and don't have a foggy eyed clue what this is. Thanks.

Well, your customer probably needs glasses, no L9-10.

Most probably its an L6-10 which is a laser unit error. You can save ~$40 if you order the mirror motor alone, but I always order the unit. You'll make up the cost difference in labor fiddling with the motor installation.

You should say a little prayer to the copier gods that this is not one of the first production machines. On later production machines the laser unit installation is a 20 minute job, not counting the time to remove any accessories in the way (right side cover of the engine). If it is first production you've got 1.5 hours disassembly, and 1.5 hours reassembly. I even wrote up a procedure if you want it. You must literally strip the engine.

Don't bother to try clearing the code. Even if it goes away temporarily it will come back permanently within a few days.

Let us know what you find. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks blackcat, you were 100% correct. It turned out to be an L6-10. I was doing this call as a courtesy for a church at no charge. Precision Roller carries the part for 299.00 ..... I recommended for them not to have the work done. The display screen was also a problem...very very faint. I appreciate your quick response. It did help us very much. Thanks a million, Delaware Jim.

There is an intensity adjustment for the panel, if your interested. Look in Custom Settings, Default Settings. These are not really bad boxes to work on. =^..^=
