Setup al-2050cs + "change td cartridge"

I set up a AL-2050cs RF and put in a recycled cartridge which has enough toner for 6000 copies. After I left customer called and said change td cartrige message was on machine. The cartridge i put in was a xerox xd cartridge but I had removed the plastic piece in machine in order to be able to use sharp or xerox. Why would the toner lite come on so soon. I ran about 20 copies before I left customer's office. Frank

It was my fault. When I removed the plastic tab the top portion of it was still in machine and it was catching the oval shaped protrusion on the back of the xerox cartridge. After removing it entirely it was okay. Frank
