Like most Sharp second generation machines all the boards are different, but most of the mechanical engine parts are the same. Fuser rollers are different, developer is different.

Have you came across an AR-M455N? It is identical to the MX-M450N.
If you replace the maintenance parts at the required intervals either model will be reliable for you. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

maybe someone here can explain. the imagistics 4510 is almost same as the sharp450. some electronic will swap and a few won't. the imagistics 4511 we heard was a arm455. the imagistics 4510/4511 use the same pm kits and the same toner and developer. we can use the 4511 drum in the 4510.so if the mx-m450n is the same as the arm455 why the developer change, will the mx-m450 fuser fit in the 455. we have used 4511 fuser rollers in the 4510 also but don't know about whole fuser unit yet. only have the imagistics and some arm450 out but will be getting into the newer machines soon. thanks for any return

I checked the ARM455N and the MXM450N parts guide and both have the same part number so yes you can use the entire fuser in either machine.

ARM455 and MXM450 share the same Drum (200k drum), Developer(100k Developer), fuser and M-kits.

ARM450's are the first generation of this series that take totally different supplies from the machines stated above. Originally it was a 50k Drum which was later increased to a 100k drum to be the same as the 100k developer. The very first of these machines were horrible and it took Sharp a bit of time to get the kinks out. Our company bought some of these when they were first launched and never sold them. They got unboxed last year and sold into a guys territory who was mostly Ricoh. When he would call me for help on them for werid problems im sure he was banging his head on the desk when he got his answer Every body loves changing 1 way gears

The ARM350/351/355/450/451/455 series is identical 'maintenance wise' to the new MXM350/450 series.
Consumables are the same. Drum, dev, KA kits etc etc all the same.

Main differences are Boards, operation panel is based on the color MX series, and the machine has USB firmware update facility.

The series has been changed to the MX branding name, as the whole Sharp range has changed to that. Color machines are MX, b/w machines are MXM.

If you have been servicing the ARM tiger/jupiter series machines, you will have no problems with the new MX machines.
