AL-1551 copies but won't print from 2nd tray

Customer can make copies from 2nd tray but won't print jobs from computer on 2nd tray. Defaults to top tray. Customer says he set up 2nd tray for 14" by selecting printer from control panel and went thru procedure but still defaults to top tray.Any help is appreciated/ Frank

An obvious PC Driver settings vs Copier tray configuration issue.

If the client has changed the tray settings on the machine to something other than 'plain' for example, the machine will only feed paper from the other trays which are still setup as 'plain', unless you choose the same paper type through the PC driver (paper tab).
For example, If you are printing from Microsoft Word, the default template will be 'Plain' paper. If you have changed the tray config to something else, you will have to choose that same paper type from the driver or the machine will ignore you and print on what the default template is.... which is 'plain'. That is most likely what you have in tray1.

This is not the fault of the copier, but a mis-match in the driver settings to what the copier tray settings are. This issue is common on every single connected machine. If you call a tray something else, unless you actually select the same name, the copier will pull paper from a plain paper tray.
