AR-M550N Jam code PPD_NT1

I'm getting this on a few machines. Have tried everything on SharpNet & IDNC Service. All tires & one-ways in tray 1, new PPD sensor, new one ways in pass unit (per tech tip) & new clutch pack on back. My next step is to flash it. Thanks for any input.

This is what I've got:

Misfeeds jam code (APPD_1, PPD_NT1) from tray #1 only. The PF return spring may be damaged or missing. Replace the PF arm return spring (MSPRT3254FCZZ).

Here's a really common one: Misfeeds (jam code PFD2_ST1, PPD_NT1) from tray #1. The separation drive coupler jumps, allowing multiple pages to jam at the bite of the rollers. Install a coil spring (14mm coil x 20mm length) between the separation tire side of the coupler and the E-clip and the E-clip to keep consistent engagement.

Misfeeds (jam code PPD_NT1) only from tray #1. One copy OK. Second copy jams 60mm out of tray #1. Paper dust contaminates sensor PSD2. Clean sensor PSD2 with a tiny brush. Remove inner left door. Sensor PSD2 is located at the lowest part of the guide.

Replace PPD1 sensor with modified part number QSW-Z0538FCZZ. When this sensor is old, it is somtimes slow in responding, causing jam codes. This part number fixes this issue.

Did it. I'll order another one if you think it'd be worth it. It's not making it to that sensor, but I replaced it anyway since it takes care of tray 1 only. I swapped torque limiter, one-ways, tires & everything from side 1 to 2. Replaced the clutch pack & one ways that were in a US tech tip for that jam code. (didn't make sense to me, but I'll try anything when I'm lost) I checked the PF return spring that Blackcat mentioned & the torque limiter. I remember those double feeding when they first came out. I'm going to check into the PSD2 sensor. Not sure where that one is at, but jam will be about 60mm out of the first tray. Almost to the PPD sensor.

D- I can't find this in the manual anywhere. Which sensor is it ?

I'll have to take a glance at my manual. I have it documented in the database, but don't remember the occasion. I'll post about it tonight. =^..^=

Found it. PFD2 has the same sensor number as the PPD sensor. I'll try that one.

Just thought I'd let you know what I found. We brought a machine in that came off a lease. It had a bunch of the PPD_NT1 jams on it. We had a parts machine to trouble shoot with. It ended up being the black transport guide in the left door that the transport belt mounts on. I can't see anything other than wear in the plastic from the pages, but it took care of it on both machines. Maybe it'll help someone else out.
