Is this line front frame to rear frame or does it go lead edge to trail edge?
Does it happen in printing or just copy?
When i googled the machine the pictures look like it's a old AR200 (model used in Canada)
For lines, of course make sure your mirrors are clean and the slit glass is clean for Document feeder use. For lead edge to trail edge lines remove the charger and give it a good cleaning. I take the grid off and clean it with soap and water, dry it and put it back together. Static pads work good for cleaning the Saw tooth.
Front frame to rear frame lines usually are the drum. Drum life is 30k.

Could be a registration issue or something to do with Doc Feed. Does it happen when only using the Doc Feed? SIMMS 50 adjustment may be needed.
I have had lines like this and I needed to go in adjust out Doc Feed in SIMMS. Just a thought.
I also had this happen because of the underside of the Doc Feed Cover being out of place - simple is as simple does. You're looking all over the place for something that is right there in front of you (me).
