    AR 205 problem

    Hello all,

we sold this machine to a school about 3-4 year's it was old then but was working nice, it has about 250 k (if wasn't 88 code reseted), no RADF instaled and it does that long image at copying, see page2, no printing is instaled either
i tryed to clean and do some checking, 64-1 it only has that gray pattern not the squares one, so i'm waiting for ur opinion in this matter till Monday
let's all have a nice weekend and thank you

IF..... Page 1 is the Original on the Glass and page 2 is the Output..

Then you really need to look to the Scan Rails ..check with Sim 1-1 for full sweep and smooth operation, the rails need to be cleaned and new grease added.

If that doesn't work then maybe look at the PS clutch and/or the 'pinch rollers' on the PS roller.
    regards

    John

    Vlad,
From your post I am assuming these things:

    1) The 64-1 print output looked OK.
    2) like johnbla said, page 1 image is the original, page 2 image is the resulting copy.

If these statements are true, is must be an optical component. For the blurring to affect the entire page so evenly I would rule out a motor, drive or cable problem. I would focus on the cleanliness of mirrors and lenses, image focus, and the CCD.

If the 64-1 output is also affected I would blame the laser unit.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
