The AR207 I have has network print with ethernet cord jack. Can I scan with it also by installing the scan software, or do I need another board and what is it? THanks

If it is just an AR207, it does not have a scan option. If it is an ARM207, scan is built in.
(I think)

Zootech is correct. The AR-207 does not offer scanning. The AR-M207 can scan in black & white as built, and in color with the AR-NB2N & EB7. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I've never installed those options, but that information came directly out of the configuration sheets provided by Sharp. If it's incorrect, I'd like to know. Wazza?

i think from your words Lakemen that u have ARM-207 with network box so u can make network scanning with using sharpdesk version for scanning network with specified number of users.
Local Scanning:
ARM160 through to ARM207 has USB Scanning out of the box.
ARM160 & 205 has USB1.1 default. AREB7 required for USB2.0 scanning.
ARM162 & 207 has both USB1.1 & USB2.0 default.
All scanning is done through Sharpdesk, button manager or TWAIN.
Network Scanning:
ARM160 & 205 require ARNB2N kit. Full resolution range is available with additional memory installed (75-600dpi).
All scanning done through Sharpdesk, FTP or email.
ARM162 & 207 require ARNB3 kit. Full resolution range is available with additional memory installed (75-600dpi).
All scanning done through Sharpdesk, FTP, email or 200 destination maximum.
Above listed ARNB2N & ARNB3 kits allow for network printing. USB printing only otherwise.
The info I have on all the different configurations required for each model COLOR scanning is way too much to type out here. If you want it, give me your email address.
