Wazza, good call cleaned and lubed mounts and sensor arm and replaced the spring as well. It had 1 hiccup afterward. I decided to installed a stiffer spring (Minolta POF spring) ran over 150 2 point stapled packet w/no issues. Thanks for the hint!!!!!!

No problem Gabe, I learnt something on that finisher too on this call.

Keep this fix in mind, because I really think we'll see it again sometime as these finishers get older.

Glad I could help you out mate.

No problem fella's! Its all good.

I'm happy to report that my problem finisher has been performing perfectly fine all week, without a single error, since that fix. It is a client who does alot of staple jobs, so it has definitely been used over and over.

I can see Gabe's point in installing a better spring if the bracket doesn't move freely enough once cleaned & lubed. I have ordered that spring for car-stock just in case. We have way too many of these finishers out there for it not to happen again.

A big benefit is having access to every single option/unit to compare faults as you can see. We have a massive workshop and warehouse that I can arrange to take something temporarily if I am in a jam. Definitely makes my life easier, and eventually helps us all.

I haven't encountered any issues since then with the stapling either. It's all good!
