If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

With that Whale of yours, I agree that the problem would be the ICU board now. The ICU board is what writes to the LED units. My Whale that had the exact same 'barcode' printouts was the ICU memory, yours must be the ICU board if you're sure the memory was good.
Or....... upgrade that sh*tbox to an MX!
Would love to but the client is a rural agency that stretched to purchase this 5 years ago through state grant money and we want to do right by them. We shall see what happens. The sad part is they are our only customer in this town so we don't get over there very often and can't just drop in!!
