Completly black copies, only when making copies, (of the glass or Doc Feeder) print is coming out perfect.
The copy lamp is good.
No error code.
Anyone, anyone ?

Check your white reference values in sim 63. You might have a problem with the CCD.
Good luck.
Bil
sim 63-7 is giving me a value of 255 so the ccd seem to be good
i think drum is not charge sometimes.did u control the back of the drum where the drum take the charge
If the drum coating is worn through somewhere (drum ground problem), or the primary charge is shorting or losing connection you can get black copies. The lamp may be good, but does it light when you copy or scan?
Is it possible that the focus could be completely out of whack? It would take something pretty catastrophic, like dropping the machine, or an enduser deciding to disassemble the optics (and yes, I've encountered both situations). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
