    Mxc311 heat roller bearing

I had a rear heat roller bearing on an MXC311 pretty much disintegrate on me, which needless to say got a little noisy. I just wondered if anyone else has seen this. Just want to know if I should put some in stock or if this was just a freak thing. Thanks for any input.

I've heard that the bearings may last only 35-38K; order some spares to be on the safe side.

We don't have this machine in service yet but as a general observation the current generation of fuser bearings from Sharp are very poor and have been for some time (these are OEM bearings not aftermarket). We have spares of all on hand as they very rarely meet stated lifetime. I don't know if there is a quality control issue or what but they do not last like the older fuser bearings.

Watch for a technical bulletin from Sharp coming soon regarding these fusers.
    Hope that helps !

We had one die with 5k on it. Another with 20k. Both of ours were on the fuser gear end. If your still within 6 months i'd put the entire dam fuser through on warranty.

Ive been told japan is aware of the issue and they are looking into it.
