Sharp MXM453 Error E7-06 On a Fax Job

When a certain fax comes in, the machine starts the paper and then throws an E7-06 code that leaves the machine useless. I can restart it, remove the jam from the paper being started and make all other fax jobs "priority" over the issued fax. Those will print out fine then once the issued fax comes to print it will throw the code again. I can clear out the memory of fax images and it gets rid of the issued fax but will come up again a week or so later. Looking for ideas. Thanks.

    This is a firmware fix.

Ensure the Fax firmware version installed is 01.02.P2 (or higher). The latest firmware for the fax kit solves this.

I had an E7-06 code on a MX3501N when copying only. The page would start to feed and the code was thrown; prints were okay. It ended up being the 512MB memory in DIMM3 slot of the MFP cnt board.

I agree with Zootech on the E7-06 issue. However, that code on the first series MX machines was specifically related to the either the memory modules or MFP board noise (as per all the related bulletins on this subject).

The second series MX color & newer MXM machines have the FXX2 & FXX3 fax kits. The E7-06 code on these machines only relates the the fax kit firmware requiring an upgrade. I only ever saw this issue when they first were rolled out, since then all machines have latest firmware and have never seen E7-06 again.
