As I see it, you still haven't determined if this is a scanner or a print engine issue. Run some sim 064 self prints. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

His first post stated it wasn't on self prints. I sure does look like the star wheels though.
I think I'd try to see if you can pick it up at 400% to make it out. Also try adjusting your exposure really dark.
It's front to rear & not paper moving direction ? Does it repeat when running ledger ?
aa99c6004adc.pdfI've attached more examples. One at 129% and one at 64%. On the 129% the line doesn't move or change, at 64% it moves a little but does not change size. Another thing, I know you can't see it on the scans, but if you run multiple copies and put two of them side by side under a magnifying glass, each dot is identical from one page to the next. To me that says that the copier is actually seeing something and putting it on the page. I also tried the exposure setting to full dark. There was no change in the line. Yesterday I swapped out the CCD unit, no change. I'm getting a 257 in today on trade, I guess I'll just start swapping out parts till I find the one causing the problem. Or maybe a little C4 would fix it.
Let's try that again.

Subject:Getting dotted lines front to rear when making copies using the RSPF and the OC.
Symptom:Getting dotted lines front to rear when making copies using the RSPF and the OC.
Cause:Integrated circuit breakdown.
Solution: Replace the MCU.
Yesterday a guy called me about a ARM277 that was giving blank copys, print jobs are fine. I mentioned the problem here and maybe he should take a main board with him. Scan to email worked fine, but copys came out blank. He replaced the board including the IMC (removed every thing from a scrap copier) and it fixed the problem. He swapped IMC boards but could not replicate.
Gwaddle you helped fix our problem
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
Its all shits and giggles until some body giggles and shits...
I've ordered a main board, but it's back ordered at this point till January.
