    Sharp AR-507 blank prints

no error code, high voltage wire intact, new toner, new developer

Hi, my sharp AR-507 photocopier has been giving me blank prints from both photocopying or computer network printing. there is no error code showing at all. I have added new toner, changed developer, I also checked the high voltage wires, cleaned them, and they are not broken. I have also adjust the sensor gains. when I turned it on, it sounds like DC unit motor and drum is rotating. but I found the drum unit very clean after I done a few blank prints. please help. thanks a lot

    Hi Guys,

Before do anything, black copy occurs? Black copy many causes, we just trace one by one...

Sounds like the charge unit. Not getting a C1-00? Check your trouble codes in sim 22.

    Good luck.

I think I'd start by stopping the machine mid-copy, to see if you have a good, developed latent image on the drum. If yes, you have a transfer problem.

If no, back up further to look at developing.
Missing primary charge creates black copies, so the implication here is that the primary charge is present. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Just checked, Drum is quite clean. so it's the developing unit?
    Thanks again!!

Just because you're not getting a developed image does not necessarily mean the developing unit is faulty.

For example, if there is no drive to the developing unit, there will be no developing. The drive is provided by the main drive pack in the rear of the machine. Or you could be missing the developer bias voltage. Again, no bias-no image. And there could be a problem with the developing unit itself.

When I say "no developing" it means that the toner didn't make it to the drum, for whatever reason. It's up to you now to determine why.

Again, thanks a million for your differential diagnosis.
When you say "main drive", does it mean the motor? so I did SIM25-1, to check the operation of the main drive, and get 107. so I guess it's functioning properly. I'm going to check bias voltage at the back of the machine.

Back cover is opened. How do I find out if the voltage on main charger is present?
