Just from a quick search on Sharp's site, are you sure the error isn't "You have reached the Limit of Destinations"? Even if it is not, you may want to try the fix presented in the bulletin. According to Bulletin TT-20368:
Models:
MX-2310U/MX-2610N/MX-3110N/MX-3610N
MX-4110N/MX-4111N/MX-5110N/MX-5111N
Priority:
Medium
Date:
November 2011
Subject:
Message on the Display: You Have Reached the Limit of Destinations
Symptom:
When scanning a message is displayed: You Have Reached the Limit of Destinations. The
MFP is also running slow and will not complete a firmware update.
Cause:
There is an issue with the firmware and the SD card or a memory DIMM.
Solution:
Reseat the SD card and all memory DIMMs and then flash the MFP firmware.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply I had spotted that bulletin and thought it sounded similar but the customer had been quite specific, so I rang back this morning just to check and she is quite sure it says maximum number of jobs have already been reserved I might try the methods in the firmware upgrade anyway
You may also want to try clearing the job log data using sim 62-10. Maybe that is full??
That's another quick, non-harmful fix to try at least.
It certainly is something memory or logic related. It'd be interesting to hear what causes this.
Good luck.
This is an old thread, but I just ran into " maximum number of jobs already been reserved" on a 2615. Remote session firmware update resolved the issue.
im having it on mx4070 and mx4071 in same building , different offices.
66-10 does fix it
wondering if there is dsl on the fax lines? or noisy phone lines?
I fix copiers ...Well Sorta
