No fax to email that I know of, (analog fax to digital); why not image send to email as a PDF or TIFF?

Do you mean forwarding an incoming fax to an email or other location? If so then yes the newest generation of Sharps will do this. If not then like Zootech stated it will not do this.

    Good luck.

You can set up Inbound Routing to forward the fax images to an email address as already suggested. This is, of course, after setting up SMTP. You can also create tables to forward to several email addys at once.

You also have that ability to do desktop faxing i.e. internet fax. You have to load the software which installs just like a print driver.

I don't know why, but Sharp doesn't seem to call thing what they are sometimes
It's not fax forward, it's "inbound routing"....
It's not fax, it's "image send"....
It's not scan to HDD, it's "document filing"....

    It's not broken, it's "incapacitated"...

Under Application Settings you will see:
Inbound routing. You have to setup a table to that points to the email you want to send to. You have to setup a email in the address book first.
Under Inbound routing you will see Administrative settings. That's where you can enable it to turn it on.
The bigger machines have options for time etc when it will forward.

    Redserv,
some people have "fax numbers" that forward to an email address. so when someone faxes to that number it will be received as an email, not on a fax machine. if this is what your customer is referring to, then yes the Sharps and ANY fax will do this.
