I have seen them rollers flat spot, not sure why, I thought Sharp had figured it out a while back after the AR-350/450 models, I think its the foam like stuff under the outer cover, all that is over a hollow roller, the old rubber rollers never did flat spot as I recall.

Here is Sharps solution for flat spots on the AR-350/AR-450:
"The flat spot can be recovered by setting the Pressure Levers to position where pressure
is released and let the unit sit for a day or so or install it into a machine to warm up and
the flat spot will smooth out."
    Awesome!!

The 6201 and 7001 are notorious for this. If it sounds like a galloping horse, it's a flat spot. We always have these as a car stock item due to the high failure rate. There is a way to adjust the amount of pressure applied by the pressure release system using soft switches. However, there is no documentation for this from Sharp.
    Awesome!

You can adjust pre heat mode setting. When it enters pre heat mode, the pressure is released.

Hi for all of you flat spotters out there
please remember in the future its possible to avoid flat spots on the folowing models

all models with soft power off switch.switch the soft swith first
then the rollers will have time to seperate
    cheers
