Does anyone know how to get into the special sims on this model of machine? Yes I am certified and yes I have a manual.

I'd have to assume it would be the same as previous models.

No there is no CA key on the screen where you enter the code. On normal machines the code is # * CA #.

I didn't look at the op panel, but you're correct. No CA key, how bizarre... Perhaps that code might best be edited out to prevent it getting into the wrong hands.

Press the home key twice and the touch screen will show you the version of firmware that is installed on the machine.

You then touch the touch screen where the version number is showing. You then enter the # * C * using the keys on the touch panel.

Spanky, that's how to get into regular TC, not the special sims.

I may have an answer for you later today, provided nobody beats me to it. Will respond with the command as soon as I have it, if I get it.

Could it be the '//' which I couldn't find a definition? I tried several combinations with that without success; hope you have better luck.

Straight from my source (who is not our friend down under):

"Unfortunately for these models the Factory keeps total silence about the extended test commands menu and any attempt to ask questions about this was politely rejected.

Off record, I heard that this menu cannot be opened unless special firmware is installed temporarily on the machines. This firmware allegedly lets you modify settings and collect data, but doesn’t allow machine operation, therefore after doing whatever you need to do in that menu, regular firmware has to be re-installed.

But unless an official document is released, all this should be treated as rumors."

Looks like there are no official elevated commands.

One of the guys here was talking to tech support this morning and asked them, they said the special sims aren't there anymore. I don't believe that but that's what he said. Thanks for the responses. Zootech, I couldn't find anything that said what the // is for either. Apparently that's a secret too. I really don't like these machines.
