I have a customer with a Sharp AR-M237 that just
replaced the computer with a Win 8 64 bit. I tried
to install in compatibility mode (XP SP3) but I
cannot get it to print. I am printing to the usb
port. Any ideas I may not have tried yet? Thanks.

Get them to upgrade to Windows 7, or download the Windows 7 x64 drivers and try them.
I tried the Win 7 64 bit first and that was a no go. Has anybody actually done this configuration and have you made it work? MS says it can be done, but not so sure myself if it can yet.
I did this a few weeks back. It was Windows 8 64bit and the Windows 7 64bit driver worked without any tweaking. The machine was a MX-B402SC though, much newer than an AR machine.....
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!
try to use the twain drivers.
Uhhh, huh huh huh...uhhhh huh huh. Yeah.
Windows 8 has driver signature enforcement turned on and an unsigned driver will not be installed. Check out the Technical Tip attachment to find out how to turn it off to install your driver.
This has come up at our office recently. The bulletin works. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

There's been a proper Windows 8 driver released since this post was first created.
