The times I've seen this, it was the spring actually breaking. The spring part number was changed years ago with a different shape, so I doubt you'd have that issue on a newer model such as the ARM208. Go with what the guys are saying here. If the spring has broken, I'd be very surprised.
is there older and newer model of those finishers?
Becuase the one I was looking at had gray plates and in order to get them out I had to loosen the lift motor assy so I can slide a shaft that was going through the whole width of the finisher. after I got those things out it started just fine and has not had a problem again.
I do have another question though. other problem is that compies are not aligned with originals. I downloaded service manual ( from nodevice) and there is nothing mentioned about that kind of problem. Working on some other copiers I think it's a document scanner calibration. I checked but I can't seem to find anything on it anywhere. Any Help?
