ar-m450n copy quality
Hello
My copier makes the copies with different density from one side to the other for example in A4 mode the top of the page is darker than the end. I have already made everything, i cleaned the optical sistem and i adjusted the density but this didn't solve nothing, there are always a diferent density, but In impression mode everything's fine.
What can i do to solve this problem? Thanks and sorry about some error in this text...
thanks

Sounds like you have your answer
If you can print to it and the copy is good the you have an optics problem.

Yes
Y no that, and is only in a duplex copy ,and only y use de adf to.
If a make a duplex copy in the glass like 1-1=2 the copy is good to.
Y think that the problem is in the CIS, because the density of the reverse copy is not regular, it is more dark in the top and go to light at down of the copy.
If y adjust the density of the CIS,whit the simulacion 46-20, i can to do more light or more dark, but the diference exist always.
Some idea?
thanks

Stop
Does it print good copies? If yes then it is an optics problem.
If no then you have other problems. Laser, charge grid, laser lense.
Stop messing with the setting.

Pull the glass off the CIS unit, it collects dust. If cleaning doesn't help, then CIS will need replacing.

Hello
The glass of the cis unit is possible take out? donīt damage?? y clean the glass that is in front of the cis glass, and clean the cis glass in front, but y canīt take out of the cis unit is very dificult , y m afraid to damage them.
But,y already can minimize the problem, by changed the back distance betwen the cis and the scanner unit, but if is possible ilike clean the cis glass, but y dīont who take out it.
thanks a lot

Sorry, I should have been clearer with my description. You have already cleaned the glass I was describing. Don't mess with the actual CIS unit.

The shading on one side only can be an optical problem. The way this happens, is that a tech tries to adjust for original skew by adjusting the angle of the SPF. The white plate must be exactly aligned with the slit glass, or the CCD starts to see the angled edge of the white plate and will darken one side front-of-the-machine side of the original. The answer to this is to take your millimeter scale, lower the SPF as low as you can, and measure the distance between the edge of the slit glass and the white plate on top. Adjust the right SPF hinge so that the dimension is the same, front and back.
