No estimates, have had 2 bad out of the box, have 4 machines with over 1.3 mil and still no lsu, they are a pain to change.
some of you sharp tech, is there an expected life spand (copies or years) on the laser? a good guestimate would be fine. or is it a thing where what will be will be

thanks for reply. been selling used machines and had to change one that we bought that was bad. takes me around an hour. but the reason for asking was had a customer that has one for about a year now and they just called in with a laser code. was wandering if this was the future to come. like the machine overall again thanks for reply
These laser units are a relatively common maintenance part. I've changed a couple dozen on Tigers. As lasers go, it's one of the easier ones to do. I can change it in 20 minutes on the newer style engine (two hours plus on an old style engine). There really is no way of predicting when it will need replacing (other than the L6-10). They do not generally give you any noise to anticipate replacement.
