I've discovered the hard way (our shop smoked two fusers with this issue) that one of the plugs on the DC board doesn't plug in where it looks like it should. There are two nearly identical two-prong connectors on the board, and if you pick the wrong one, you send power directly to the fuser lamp as soon as you plug it in. It's surprisingly easy to do (even though it's red to match the harness) because the correct plug is hidden behind a heatsink. I think it's kind of weird that there is a live, exposed plug up front on the board, but that's the way they made it. I hope this helps out.
