    Not printing correctly

I have a Sharp MX-5001N using Post Script. When printing in MS Office they try to print a watermark of "DRAFT" on the document it prints out with 5 blocks instead of the word draft. On a MX2600 it prints fine. Please help.

Are you using the right driver for the MX5001N? Using post script? Try PCL6?

Yes using the right driver. Downloaded from Sharp. They use post script for better printing performance.

Try reloading the watermark firmware using SIM 49-5.

Postscript does not give you better printing performance if you are looking for SPEED of Font-data/transfer when printing. One of the big differences is how PS & PCL handle the fonts. Try changing the setting in the driver to "downloading" the font instead of using "resident" fonts. It is usually in PREFERENCES/ADVANCED/FONTS. If not there, hunt around a little. I'll tell ya, I HAVE SOLVED SO MANY GARBAGE CHARACTER PRINTING ISSUES BY DOWNLOADING INSTEAD OF ALLOWING RESIDENT FONTS. Good Luck!

P.S. Downloading fonts can increase the network traffic/transmission times though.

Using word 2010. I fixed the problem. They had transparency at 70%. I changed it to 0 as per microsoft and everything is fine.
