L4-08 on a MX-M623N that is also making a clicking sound!

L4-08 code on a MX-M623N that is also making a clicking sound after resetting the machine. I have checked everything and cleaned the toner out of the tube but it isn't fixing the problem. I've dealt with the code before and fixed it but the clicking sound is new.

Clicking noise is probably from your fusing unit. Have had several of these do it. We even have a rebuilt one with less than 100 prints on it clicking! Very annoying. Test the FUM in sim 6 to see if this is what is causing your noise.

    Good luck

The best way to address any noise is to run each motor individually. Sharp doesn't make that terribly easy, since the sims are spread out throughout the service mode, not like Kyocera that groups them under U030 for the base machine and U240 for the finisher. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have had this issue. After rebuilding the process unit get the same code, fixed usualy by reopening the processunit and make sure drum is not in a bind. The clicking i have encountered come from the gears at the rear of the process unt that turn the cleaning roller. When replacing the cleaning roller sometines the bushing slides out place. Reseating the bushing and ensuri g the gear is on fully clears the clicking noise.
